Obituary of Mary E. (Paradise) Thibodeau

Mary Elizabeth (Paradise) Thibodeau, 99, died Thursday at the Grosvenor Park Nursing Home in Salem after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Albert H. Thibodeau. She was born in Peabody on October 29, 1905, the daughter of the late Annable and Mary (Deschene) Paradise and was educated in Peabody Schools. She had first resided in Peabody and later in Salem most of her life. She had been a floor secretary at Salem Hospital for 12 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. James Parish in Salem and enjoyed watching sports on television. She is survived by 2 daughters-in-law, Jean Thibodeau of Kennebunk, Me and Janet Osgood Thibodeau of Salem; 5 grandchildren, Michelle Weinberger of Kennebunk and Robert Thibodeau of Kennebunkport, Me, Scott Thibodeau of Swampscott, Todd Thibodeau of Peabody and Tyla Theriault of Salem; 9 great grandchildren, Christopher Weinberger of Freemont,Ca, Catherine , Spencer and Meredith Thibodeau all of Kennebunkport,Me, Ross and Luke Thibodeau of Swampscott, Ma, Maria Cooke and Colby Thibodeau of Peabody, and Lenyx Theriault of Salem; a great granddaughter, Abigail Leigh of Swampscott and she was blessed with many dear nieces and nephews and cousins with whom she spent many happy hours. She was the mother of the late Albert H. Thibodeau Jr. and Robert W. Thibodeau and the grandmother of the late David Thibodeau. A Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. James Chapel in Salem at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem.
