Obituary of George A. Driver

George A. Driver BRADFORD—George A. Driver, 55, died unexpectedly on Tuesday morning at his home. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late James & Gertrude A. (Perry) Driver. He lived in East Boston until he was 2, and moved to Peabody where he lived most of his life. He graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1973. Mr. Driver was a Machinist who worked for most of his career with Middleton Aerospace which was once located in Middleton, and relocated to Haverhill a few years ago. George was a New England Sports fan who loved the Red Sox and Patriots. During the summer George spent a lot of time at the beach and always sported a tan. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed going with friends. He will be missed by his many aunts, uncles and friends who he considered a part of his family. Among his greatest accomplishment was remaining clean and sober for 15 years. He worked with people to help them with their recovery efforts through Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. He will be dearly missed by all he touched. He is survived by: a sister, Susan Driver and her fiancé, James Tringale of Sandown, NH; a brother and sister-in-law, James Driver & his wife Jennifer Stephens of Missoula, MT; a niece, Sydney and two nephews, James and Nathan, and his beloved cat, Oonagh. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 1 – 4 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Monday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home for his Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
