Obituary of Mary G (Kolodziej) Fallis

Mary G. (Kolodziej) Fallis, 92, of Peabody, died early Thursday morning at the Country Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Newburyport following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Warren Fallis. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Genevieve (Wiktor) Kolodziej. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School. Mary worked in the leather industry for many years and prior to her retirement, she worked at Parker Brothers in Salem as an assembler for 15 years. Family and friendship was very important to Mary and was affectionately known as Mary “sunshine” and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughter Loretta and her husband Robert Cox of Salisbury, her two grandchildren, Nina Cox and her children, Warren and Isabelle of Lakeville, New York, and Jonathan and his wife Annie Howard of Methuen, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Sonia Kolodziej of Peabody and Alexander and Sandra Kolodziej of Salem, her sisters, Stella Almeida of Peabody and Stasia Swinson of Beverly, her sisters-in-law, Helen and Pauline Kolodziej, both of Peabody, also by her , and by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John, Louis, Frank, and Stanley Kolodziej, and Katherine Lamphier, and sister-in-law of the late Frank Almeida and Kenneth Swinson. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. At the request of the family, there will be no visiting hours.
