Bonnie D. (McElhinney) Carr
BEVERLY—Bonnie D. (McElhinney) Carr, 70, beloved wife of the late Arthur Carr, died Sunday afternoon January 9, 2011, at the Beverly Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Danvers, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Camille (Tedesco) McElhinney. She grew up in Marblehead, and graduated from Marblehead High School.
Mrs. Carr had worked as a Teller at the Salem branch of the Danvers Savings Bank.
Bonnie volunteered at the former Danvers State Hospital, enjoyed gardening, cooking and the beach. She will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit.
She is survived by: a son, Kevin Carr of South Hamilton; a daughter, Jennifer Bicknell of Londonderry, NH; a cherished grandson, Ethan Bicknell of NH; three brothers, Neil McElhinney and Douglas McElhinney both of Denver, CO, and Jack McElhinney of North Carolina, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her husband and parents, by a son Arthur Carr and a brother Maurice McElhinney.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Friday January 14, 2011 for a Graveside Funeral Service at 12:30 P.M. in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
