Obituary of Bala F. (Comeau) LaCombe
Bala F. (Comeau) LaCombe, 76, of Danvers, died early Thursday morning at the Radius Health Care Center in Danvers following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Louis J. LaCombe.
Born in Ipswich, she was the daughter of the late Elias and Dora (Smith) Comeau. She had resided in Peabody, New Hampshire and has spent the last 8 years living in Danvers.
After High School, she attended Boston University School of Nursing and received her degree. She later worked at the Cable Hospital in Ipswich as an X-Ray Lab Technician before retiring.
She was also a founder and lecturer for TOPS, a women’ s group dealing with weight loss which later became Weight Watchers.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne LaCombe-Chenery and her husband Adam Chenery of Peabody, two grandchildren, Dana Eric Burke of Danvers and Jennifer Burke of Middleton and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by nine late brothers and sisters.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody Facility to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Sunday from 4 until 7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923.
