Obituary of Louise A. (Bolla) Blanchard

Louise Ann (Bolla) Blanchard, 62, of Peabody, died early Wednesday morning at her residence surrounded by her family after a 4 ½ year courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Robert E. Blanchard with whom she Celebrated their 38th Wedding anniversary on January 3. She was born in Lynn, Ma. on July 30, 1940, the daughter of the late Americo J. Mac And Mary (Ladetto) Bolla and was a lifelong resident of Peabody. She graduated from Peabody High School in 1959 and worked at the family restaurant, the Clam Shell Cafe on Main St., Peabody where she was a cook and later became the co-owner for many years before retiring in 1973. She enjoyed cooking, doing puzzles and taking care of Her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving her besides her husband are 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Paul A. Blanchard of Peabody and Michael R. and Karen Blanchard of West Peabody, 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Lisa M. and Dennis Bingham of Valatie, N.Y. and Denise A. Blanchard of Peabody; 4 grandchidren, Derek and Emma Blanchard of Peabody and Andrea and Meredith Bingham of N.Y., 2 sister-in-laws ,Sister Mary L. Blanchard, S.N.D. of the Notre Dame Sisters and Dorothy and Ronald Moreland all of Peabody, An uncle, Francesco Bolla and his wife Eda both of Beverly, a niece, Julie Moreland Of Salem and a nephew, Timothy Moreland of Beverly and many cousins. Her Funeral will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. from the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody at 11:00 a.m. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours on Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Shaughnessy-Kaplan Rehab.
