Dear Liz, Ashley, Jen & family,

I know that you are aware of how sad we both are about you losing Steve, your wonderful husband, and the great Dad and Grandad that he was. Seeing how many caring people who were at his funeral is a true testament to the person that he was. We had many good times with you on the cruises and at the beach on Labor Day and many other great times. We will miss him very much. You certainly gave him a great tribute with your touching stories of him and all of his great qualities. I don't know how you did it but you were incredibly strong that day. The military honors were also very touching and you could see in the faces of those surrounding him how deeply saddened everyone was. Please know that we are here for you if you ever need anything. Anything at all!! Tom is a great handy man!! We will get that gals movie group going as soon as you are up for it Liz.

All our love,

Tom and Pat

Steve was super intelligent, super handsome, and super athletic. His most endearing qualities however were his caring compassionate nature, his zest for life, and his fun-loving ways. He was always kind, never boastful. He was always patient and always generous. And, we cannot think of Steve without remembering his positive outlook even during his darkest days. He was always willing to lift a helping hand and when we were with Steve we always came away feeling better for having been with him. Now, Steve lives on in Jennifer and Ashley, and his beautiful grandchildren - and we see so many of his traits in them. We share your sorrow, Liz...and family....and we are so sad...because we were so blessed to have Steve in our lives. To shed a tear...or cry a bucket full and to feel this sad is part of losing someone as special as Steve was to us. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers, as always. With much love, Cheryl & Dave
