Obituary of Doris M. (Chapman) (Mello) Tanguay

Doris M. (Chapman) (Mello) Tanguay PEABODY—Doris M. (Chapman) (Mello) Tanguay, 91, beloved wife of the late Albert Tanguay, II, and the late Manuel Mello, died peacefully on Wednesday morning at the Lenessa Extended Care Facility in Webster after a long illness. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Margaret (McCullen) Chapman. She lived in Lynn in her youth where she attended schools. She was a longtime resident of Peabody. Doris ("Dot") enjoyed sharing the family lives and travels of her children, their lovely grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her friends and family found her to be a sensitive, loving and understanding person. She was a good hearted, non-judgemental listener that everyone could turn to when they needed someone. In her senior years she also enjoyed her friends and activities at the Peabody Senior Center and was recognized for her dedication to the Council on Aging and Community Excellence. She is survived by: a daughter, Elaine & Bill Davis of Marlborough; two sons, David & Mary Tanguay of Raynham and Albert & Kim Tanguay of Peabody; four grandchildren, Bryant, Jason, Kelly, and Danielle Tanguay; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by two sons, Daniel and Edward Mello. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 12 Noon to 2 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St. location, Peabody, MA. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Ceremony immediately following at 2 PM in the funeral home. Cremation will take place next week and urn burial at a later date.
