Hazel I. (Thompson) Niemchick
PEABODY—Hazel I. (Thompson) Niemchick, 89, beloved wife of the late Charles Niemchick, died Sunday March 6, 2011 at the Peabody Glen Health Center in Peabody following a long illness.
Born in Washburn, ME, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lila (Cray) Thompson. She grew up in the North Shore area, and lived in Peabody for many years.
Hazel enjoyed her nurturing role as mother, and her family is grateful for the gift they received and what she did for them. She also loved animals very much.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles & Barbara Niemczyk of Peabody; two daughters and sons-in-law, Paulette & Chet Murphy of Stockbridge, VT and Diane & George Cutting of Summerfield, FL; a grandson, Matthew Niemczyk of Peabody; two brothers, Manzer Thompson of Vancouver, WA and Ken Smith of Olympia, WA; a sister, Judy Hussleton of Entiat, WA; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Arnold, Archie, Edward, Ernest, and Rodney Thompson, Verna Brown, Hattie Libbey, Kathleen Zakas, Alice Gillis, and Barbara McHugh.
A private family Funeral Ceremony was held in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody with urn burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. As an animal lover, the family requests donations made to benefit animals
