Obituary of Evelyn N. "Bunnie" (Perry) Lynch
Evelyn N. “Bunnie” Lynch, 74, of Peabody, died on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the Kaplan Family House in Danvers with her family at her side.
Bunnie was born in Boston on January 7, 1937 the daughter of Grace E. (Trefy) Perry and the late Francis F. Perry. She was raised and educated in Beverly. Her family then moved to Boxford where she resided before moving to Danvers, and 12 years ago moving to Peabody.
Many families will remember Bunnie as being their private duty caregiver on the North Shore and in Florida until her retirement in 2001. She was also employed for many years as a sales clerk at Ann & Hope in Danvers until their closing. Bunnie was a loving mother who devoted her life to creating a family atmosphere for her children and all of their friends, and who later was so proud of her grandchildren and their accomplishments. She also cherished her great grandchildren. She enjoyed her companion dog Madden, enjoyed nature, tropical fish and crocheting as hobbies.
In addition to her mother, Bunnie is survived by her 3 daughters, Karen M. Festo and her husband Joseph of No. Andover, Kim Elizabeth Mitchell of Cotuit, and Holly A. Lynch and her companion Karl Salvato of Peabody; her beloved daughter-in-law, Mary Lynch of Brooksville, FL; her grandchildren, Louis and Jenna Festo, Timothy Festo, April Mitchell, Elizabeth Mitchell, Zachary Mitchell and Alyssa Perullo, Eve Mitchell, Rebecca, Matthew and Stephanie Ouimette, Rachel, Sarah, Daniel Jr., John, Andrew, Jacob, Ruthie and Jason Lynch; her great grandchildren, Jessamine, Jordan and soon to be born great granddaughter; her siblings and their spouses, Fred and Cheryl Perry of Brookfield, NH, Daniel and Carol Perry of Seminole, FL, Carol and Phil Lemire of Topsfield, and Robin and Jim Lynch of Effingham, NH; a close friend Joyce Tampone of Peabody; many nieces, nephews. Her son Daniel F. Lynch predeceased her.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Calvary Christian Church, 47 Grove St., Lynnfield, MA 01940. The family will receive family and friends on Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody. The family requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Bunnie’s memory to the North Shore Elder Services, www.nselder.org , 152 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923 or to Hospice of the North Shore, www.hns.org , 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923. Burial in cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
