Obituary of Sensitiva da Cunha Gregorio Clemente

Sensitiva da Cunha Gregorio Clemente, 81, of Peabody, died Thursday afternoon at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Manuel Clemente. Born in Graciosa, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Joao Jose and Maria (do Livramento Cunha) Gregorio. In 1956 she immigrated to the United States and settled in Peabody for eleven years. She then moved back to Portugal before returning to Peabody in 2003 where she has been living with her daughter. While in Peabody, she worked for the Ideal Shoe Company in Danvers. She also was a home maker who enjoyed sewing, cooking, and baking. She was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Fatima Albuquerque of Peabody, a sister, Manuela Gregorio Ataide of Portugal, two grandchildren, Vinicio Albuquerque of Boston, and Patricia Albuquerque of Peabody and several cousins, nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law in the United States and Portugal. Her Funeral service will be held on Monday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Sunday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. Expressions of sympathy can be made in her name to the Alzheimer’ s Assoc., 36 Cameron Ave, Cambridge, MA 02140.
