Obituary of Ann Marie (Collins) Silva

Ann Marie (Collins) Silva, 71, of Peabody, died on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Beverly Hospital with her family at her side. Ann Marie was born in Peabody on July 23, 1939 daughter of Maurice and Willena (Fish) Collins. She was raised in Peabody and graduated from Ste Chretienne Academy in Salem, and has been a lifelong resident of Peabody. Ann Marie was employed for 20 years as a bank teller on the North Shore. She was a loving mother who devoted her life to creating a home atmosphere for her family, and later for her 4 grandchildren and her great granddaughter whom she cherished. Ann Marie is survived by a daughter, Olivia M. Silva of Peabody, a son, Robert J. Silva, Jr. and his wife Yvette of Manchester, NH; a sister, Maureen C. Feenan of Beverly; her grandchildren, Michael Silva and his wife Amy, and Christine Silva all of NH, Sean and Nicholas Silva of Peabody, a great granddaughter, Hailey Parents of NH, and many nieces and nephews. Her sister Helena Marques predeceased her. Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 10 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 3 to 7 p.m. The family requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Ann Marie’s name to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
