Obituary of Eugene P. Zorzonello

Eugene P. Zorzonello, 84, of Peabody, died Saturday evening at the Devereux House in Marblehead following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of the late Mary Ann (Mallia) Zorzonello. Born in Newark, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Eugenio and Maria Zorzonello. He was a veteran of World War II who served with the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1946. He worked for Eastman Gelatin in the building maintenance department before retiring many years ago. Eugene also enjoyed playing golf and bowling. He is survived by loving children, Maryann and her husband James McDonald of Lynn, Gene Zorzonello and Joan Zorzonello, both of Peabody, John and his wife Deborah Zorzonello of Danvers, and Leonard Zorzonello of Peabody, his five beloved grandchildren, Cailey and her husband P.J. McCarthy, Mallia McDonald, and Amanda and Michael Zorzonello, and Emma Zorzonello. He was the brother of the late Peter and Emilio Zorzonello. His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn.
