Obituary of Adele T. (Cantone) Gauthier

Adele T. (Cantone) Gauthier SALEM—Adele T. (Cantone) Gauthier, 77, beloved wife of the late George Gauthier, died unexpectedly on Sunday April 3, 2011 at her home. Born in Wakefield, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline (Falletti) Cantone. She grew up in Beverly, and graduated from Beverly High School. She lived in Salem for the last 55 years. Mrs. Gauthier worked as a Clerk with New England Telephone until she was married and with her children. She later worked as a Bank Teller with Shawmut Merchants Bank at the Centennial Drive Branch for years. Adele enjoyed her nurturing role as mother and grandmother, spending time with and taking care of her family. She loved animals and music. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by: a son and daughter-in-law, Paul & Dorothy Gauthier of Felton, DE; a daughter and son-in-law, Nina & Michael Bridgman of Salem; three grandchildren, Emily Bridgman, Michael & Stacy Gauthier, and Jessica & Jeff Baker; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Gauthier and Skyler Baker; a special person like an adopted son, David Smith of Peabody, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her husband and parents, by her sisters Olga Davis, Claire Stearns, and Louise Otram. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 – 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Thursday morning at 11 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30 AM in the funeral home. Cremation will follow the ceremony.
