Obituary of Mary Ann Munroe
Mary Ann Munroe, 102 of Durham died peacefully Friday, May 13, 2011 at The Brian Center. Born in Arlington, MA on October 29, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah J. Regan and Jane Winnifred Barrett Regan. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
She was a devoted and loving mother, an active member of her community winning awards for service from the Governor of Massachusetts. Mary made a big difference in people’s lives.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Eleanor Ann O’Brien of Denver, CO; Rosemary Elizabeth Munroe of Durham; two sons Joseph Michael Munroe of Hampton, NH; Stephen Anthony Munroe of Brewer, ME.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11:00 AM Thursday, May19, 2011 from St. John’s the Baptist Catholic Church, 17 Chestnut Street, Peabody, MA 01960. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, MA.
Friends may visit Wednesday, May 18, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody, MA 01960
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Adult Day Health Program, of the Center for Senior Life, 406 Riggsbee Ave., Durham, NC 27701
