Obituary of Maryann (Liimatainen) Stone

Maryann (Liimatainen) Stone PEABODY—Maryann (Liimatainen) Stone, 67, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at the North Shore Medical Center, Salem Hospital on Tuesday May 17, 2011. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Krochmal) Liimatainen. She was a lifelong resident of the city. Maryann enjoyed nurturing her family, and will be remembered for her devotion to family and friends. She was a past member at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Salem. She is survived by a daughter, Kat “Kathy” Stone & her partner Deb McInnis of Maplewood, MN; four grandchildren, Matthew Stone, Ashley Stone, Lindsay Tucker, and Mackenzie Altavilla; two great-grandchildren; her former husband, Robert Stone of Lynn; a daughter-in-law, Linda Whitmore Jeffords of SC, and several nieces besides her beloved cat, “Mr. Kitty”. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Stone. Following cremation, relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Saturday May 21, 2011 from 1 – 2:30 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, with a Funeral Service at 2:30 P.M.
