Obituary of Frank A. "Jelly Bean" Cetrullo

Frank A. “Jelly Bean” Cetrullo, 86, of Peabody, loving husband of Louise H. (Clark) Cetrullo, died on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at his home with his loving family at his side. Mr. Cetrullo was born in Newark, NJ on May 6, 1925 the son of Frank and Elizabeth (Gillespie) Cetrullo. He was raised and educated in East Boston and attended the Fannie Farmer Cooking School in Boston. Frank was employed as a chef for 18 years at Beverly Hospital having to retire on a disability in 1981. He was a loving father who devoted his life to creating a home for his family and later was so proud of his grandchildren, great grandchildren and their accomplishments. Most recently, his 4 great great grandchildren were the love of his life. Frank enjoyed gardening, traveling and driving his car to many destinations in the hope of finding a worthwhile restaurant to indulge in. In addition to his wife with whom he shared 63 years of marriage, he is survived by his devoted children and their spouses, Elizabeth D. and Thomas Sigman of Seabrook, NH; Charles J. Cetrullo of Peabody, Linda L. and Jeff Hillman of Tewksbury, Brenda M. and Frank Costa of Peabody, Frank A. Cetrullo, Jr. and Colleen Cetrullo of Bridgton, ME; 16 devoted grandchildren; 19 cherished great grandchildren and 4 loving great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. His brothers Joseph and Stephen Cetrullo predeceased him. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody. Relatives and friends may pay their respect on Friday, May 27, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Frank’s name to the MGH / North Shore Cancer Center, 102 Endicott St., Danvers, MA 01923. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
