Obituary of Paul Jason "PJ" Currier
Paul “PJ” Currier, 25, of Peabody, has put down his fishing pole and his tools and entered into eternal rest at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 28, 2011 after an eight year courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Amy (Bell) Currier, his loving children, Devin Bell and Gabrielle Currier, his devoted parents, Douglas and Paula (Harris) Currier and his siblings, James and his wife Christine Currier, Kelly Iocco, Donna Currier, Nicole Currier and his maternal grandmother, Jean Harris all of Peabody. He was the brother of the late Douglas Currier Jr. Paul was loved and survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of the Peabody Vocational High School in the class of 2004. Paul had a passion and natural gift for fishing and was thus was called “The Fish Whisperer”. He had enjoyed many activities such as Karate, fixing cars, playing pool and playing darts at the Palmer Cove Yacht Club. He played little league baseball, Basketball and was a member of the Peabody High School Soccer Team.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 12:00 Noon from the Funeral Home followed by Services at the South Congregational Church, 64 Prospect St. Peabody at 1:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Dana Farber Brain Tumor Research Fund, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02215 in his memory.
