Obituary of Brian W. Magesky

PEABODY—Brian W. Magesky, 58, of Hamilton, beloved son of Walter and Ramona (Cashman) Magesky, died suddenly on Tuesday morning at the Beverly Hospital. Born in Salem, he lived in Peabody for most of his life, and lived in Hamilton for the last several years. He graduated from Peabody High School, and attended Cambridge College. Mr. Magesky worked as an assistant manager at the Salem Country Club for several years. He had a passion for cooking, and soon was the Lodge Manager at Cranmore Ski Resort in North Conway, and for the last 25 years was the Dietician at Baldpate in Georgetown. Brian enjoyed cruises and travelling, was an avid reader, and enjoyed an extensive variety of music. He was a member of the Polish-Russian-Lithuanian Club in Danvers. He will be remembered for his quiet, gentle approach to life—his willingness to help anyone that asked—and his compassion and love for animals. His talent will be missed when family and friends get together because everyone enjoyed his Caesar Salad and Pop-Overs. He is survived by his parents Walter and Ramona “Mona” (Cashman) Magesky of Peabody; his brother, Peabody Firefighter Neil Magesky & his wife Tricia; sisters Sheila Magesky & her companion Wallace and Patrice & her companion David all of Peabody; an aunt, Josephine Magesky of Peabody, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends throughout the North Shore. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for his Funeral Service on Monday June 13, 2011 at 11:30 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 – 5 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
