Obituary of Myrna L (Torrey) Pedersen
Myrna L. (Torrey) Pedersen, 81, of Peabody and formerly of Beverly, died surrounded by her family on Tuesday at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a short illness. She was the beloved wife of Lloyd Pedersen with whom she shared over 60 years of marriage.
Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Irving and Louise (Brueckner) Torrey. She was raised and educated in Beverly and has spent the last 58 years living in Peabody.
Myrna enjoyed reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, quilting, crocheting and woodworking. She also enjoyed spending time with her family on Ossipee Lake in New Hampshire. She was a direct descendant of Mayflower passengers Myles Standish and John Alden.
Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her daughter Sharon Pedersen of Salem, her five grandchildren, David, Erika, and Danielle Pedersen, all of New Jersey, Jennifer Pedersen of Salem and Heather and her husband Jeff Bourque of Hubbardston, two great grandchildren, Macey and Evan Bourque, her sister, June Ames of CA, and by several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Eric Pedersen and sister of the late Robert Torrey.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 12:30 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friend are kindly invited to attend. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
