Obituary of William "Brad" Bradford Crane

William Bradford "Brad" Crane, 70, of Brownville, Maine, formerly of Peabody and Lynn, husband of the late Lois Elaine (Hodgton) Crane, died on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Brewer Rehabilitation and Living Center in Brewer, Maine. Bill was born in Lynn on May 19, 1941 son of the late Francis and Ruth (Sheehan) Crane. He was raised and educated in Lynn. Bill was employed for most of his working career as a truck driver at General Electric in Lynn until his retirement in 2003. He devoted his life to creating a home atmosphere for his family and later was so proud of his 26 grandchildren and their accomplishments and most recently his 2 great grandchildren were his pride and joy. He also enjoyed spending time with his many friends and riding his motorcycle. Bill is survived by his loving and devoted children, Steven Crane and Bonnie Medina both of Beverly, Richard Crane and Susan Crane both of FL, Kenny Crane, Jimmy Crane, Bobby Crane, Darlene Gness and Donna Roy all of Peabody; a brother Stephen Crane and his wife Jean of Beverly; a sister, Claire Crane of Lynn, 26 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased in 2009 by his son William B. Crane Jr. A family graveside committal of Bill’s ashes to which relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 100 Rear Cedar Grove Avenue, Peabody, MA. Local arrangements are by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, MA.
