Obituary of Anastasia Sakaris

Anastasia Sakaris PEABODY—Anastasia Sakaris, 82, of Peabody, died Friday evening at the Peabody Glen Nursing Home in Peabody. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late John and Angelina (Korneotou) Sakaris. She grew up in Peabody, attended Peabody schools and was a lifelong resident of the city. Miss Sakaris was an assembler at Sylvania in Danvers for 50 years before retiring in 1991. Anastasia loved Bingo and cooking. She enjoyed travel, and enjoyed her trips to Greece. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxilliary of the V.F.W. Post 507, and will be remembered for her kind and giving ways which endeared her to many. She is survived by her sister, Mary Pagliarini of Malden, and three nieces Linda Faverman of Salem, Gail Young of Harwich, and Athena McIntyre of Maine, and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother James Sakaris, and sisters Georgia Coogan and Helen Luis. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11 AM to 12 Noon in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a Funeral Service at 12 Noon in the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
