Obituary of Robert E. "Tiny" McNeil

Robert E. Tiny McNeil, 59 years, of Peabody, formerly of Salem and Beverly died Thursday at the Peabody Glen Nursing and Rehab Center in Peabody after a lengthy illness. Mr. McNeil was born Oct. 23, 1943 in Lynn son of the late Vincent and Kathleen (Phinney) McNeil. He was educated in the Salem school system. He was a self employed handyman, painter and wallpaper hanger in the North Shore area. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards. He is survived by eight nieces and nephews, Kathleen Tavares, Barbara Whalen and Bonnie Velez all of Peabody, Richard Thomas of Salem, Tina Harlow of Hooksett, NH, John Sabino of Amesbury, Sandra Sabino of Lynn and his godchild, Patricia Gregoire of Beverly and many grandnieces and grandnephews whom he loved dearly. He was also the brother of the late Vincent McNeil, Jr., Harold McNeil, Jeanette Thomas and Shirley Sabino. His Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. There will be no visiting hours. Inurnment will be held following the Mass at Cedar Grove Cemetery Peabody. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923.
