Obituary of Joyce A. (Worsencroft) Vaselis

Joyce A. (Worsencroft) Vaselis, 71, of Beverly, wife of Speros “Steve” Vaselis, died at her home on Saturday, July 16, 2011. Joyce was born in Salem on December 23, 1939 the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Raskaukas) Worsencroft. She was raised in Peabody and Salem graduating from Salem High School Class of 1957, and has been a resident of Beverly for 32 years. Joyce was employed for many years as a waitress at North Shore. She dedicated her life to her family, and later was so proud of her 5 grandchildren and their accomplishments. She summered in Wells Maine for the past 20 years, and enjoyed walking the beach with her husband. In addition to her husband with whom she shared 43 years of marriage, Joyce is survived by her daughters, Dawn C. Rezendes of NH, and her children Olivia Chaffee of Somerville, Ruby Chaffee and Lucas Chaffee of NH, and Dina M. Taruz and her husband Sirin of Salem and their children Arif Taruz and Demir Taruz of Salem; a brother, Ralph Worsencroft of Lynn, a sister and her husband, Charlotte and Chester Carlson of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Arthur Worsencroft, and her son-in-law Douglas Chaffee. As per her request, a private family service was held.
