Obituary of Fred Waselchuk
Fred Waselchuk, 87, of Lynn and formerly of Peabody, died Saturday evening at the Kindred Hospital following a brief illness. For the past 43 years he was the long time companion of Dorothy Lessor of Lynn.
Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Waselchuk) Waselchuk. He was raised and educated in Peabody and attended Peabody Public Schools. He has spent the last 43 years living in Lynn.
Prior to his retirement many years ago, he worked alongside his family as a pig farmer in Peabody.
Besides his longtime companion, he is survived by his stepchildren, Sue Wilson and William D. Lessor and step grandchild, Mikki Wilson, all of Lynn, a son Fred Waselchuk, two brothers, Alexander and John Waselchuk, both of Peabody, two sisters, Mary Gerow of Middleton and Alice Lauzon. He was the brother of the late Charles and Anthony Waselchuk.
His funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut Street Peabody Facility. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 until 11:00 AM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
