Obituary of Donna E. (Jean) Barrett

Donna E. Barrett, 67, of Lynn, formally Donna Jean of Peabody, died peacefully in her home on August 6, 2011. She was the wife of Frank Barrett. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Jean of Margin St. in Peabody. Donna attended St. Thomas Elementary School and Peabody High School. She was the office manager to John C. Clapp M.D. for over thirty years. She will be missed by her daughter Donna Jean Healey and son-in-law Bruce of Lynn, daughter Tricia Barrett of California, and son Frank and daughter-in-law Nicole of West Newbury. Her greatest pleasure was being a grandmother to Donna and Bruce’s daughter Samantha, and Frank and Nicole’s children Nicholas, Jill and Troy. She also leaves behind her brother Harold Jean and his wife Priscilla, sisters Gloria O’Leary and husband Ronald, Corinne Jean-Pramas and her husband Richard. Her brother Robert passed away in 1977. She was privileged to be sister-in-law to Paul and Jane Barrett, and Ronald and Kathleen Barrett, and loved being “Aunt Donna” to many nieces and nephews. She shared herself, her life, and her heart with generosity wherever she went. She touched the lives of many and will be missed. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility.
