Obituary of Margaret A. (Wright) Stewart
Margaret A. (Wright) Stewart, 96, of Peabody, died Saturday afternoon at her home following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late George W. Stewart.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth (MacFarland) Wright. She was raised and educated in Peabody and later graduated from Salem Commercial School in 1926.
She had worked for over 27 years as an office manager for her family’ s business, Lawrence H. Wright Contractor in Peabody until her retirement many years ago.
She was a long time communicant of St. Paul’ s Episcopal Church in Peabody and was a member of the PNG Starlight Rebekeh Lodge and the Eastern Lodge, both in Peabody. She also enjoyed playing cards, bingo and cooking.
She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Hubert of San Diego, Ca., and Evelyn Levesque of Peabody; 7 grandchildren, George Kulakowski of Huntington Beach, Ca., Jeffrey Hubert of San Diego, Ca., Kenneth, Mark, and Richard Kulakowski, all of Peabody, Robert Kulakowski of Colorado Springs, CO., and Major Walter Kulakowski, USMC, Quantico, VA., 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was the sister of the late Lawrence H. Wright and Evelyn Dennis.
Her Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior the service from 10:00 until 11:30 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
