Obituary of Pauline P. (Roy) Spinneit

Pauline P. (Roy) Spinneit PEABODY—Pauline P. (Roy) Spinneit, 88, beloved wife of the late Roy E. Spinneit, passed quietly after a brief illness, on Saturday September 3, 2011 at the Framingham Union Hospital. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Alice (Lord) Roy. Raised in Peabody, she graduated from Peabody High School and the Essex Agricultural School. She was a devoted and very faithful woman, who was active at St. Adelaide’s Church. She created a scale model cake of the church for its 10th anniversary. She later moved to Middleton, where they were active at St. Agnes Church. Pauline enjoyed researching her family as well as her husband’s genealogy She also spent time creating bunka and other needlecraft works depicting floral and landscape scenes. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Andrew & Tenney Spinneit of Danvers; her extended family including Pam Carpenter of Danvers, Lorraine and John Bradley of Braintree, Francis and Beth Roy of VT, and many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as many friends. She was preceded in death, besides her husband and parents, by a brother Maurice Roy. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 – 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to her Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Agnes Church, Middleton. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, the family wish is that donations be made to Catholic Charities, 55 Sleeper St., Boston, MA 02210 or the Carmelite Sisters, c/o Carmel Chapel, 933 Central St., Framingham, MA 01701.
