Obituary of Cecilea (Boudreau) Bertolatti

Cecilea (Boudreau) Bertolatti, 88, of Peabody, died early Tuesday morning at the Blueberry Hill Healthcare Center in Beverly after a short illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Ernest M. Bertolatti who died in 1994. She was born in Salem, MA on August 6, 1923, the daughter of the late Arthur and Lillian (Jean) Boudreau and was raised there before moving to Peabody several years ago. She had been employed with the City of Peabody School Department working as a teacher’s aide for special education mostly at the Kiley School for 10 years prior to her retirement. Cecilea had been active in the Golden Agers of Peabody and the Torigean Community life Center in Peabody. She had a passion for playing Bingo and enjoyed taking trips to Foxwoods. She had been active with the North Shore Association for Retarded Citizens for many years. She is survived by a son, Wayne Bertolatti of Salem, a daughter, Nadine Russo of Los Vegas, Nevada, her two sisters, Evelyn Durkee of Middleton, MA and Lorraine Salazar of San Diego, CA, a granddaughter, Darcie Borelli of Los Vegas, NE and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Roger Boudreau and Antoinette Dragon. A Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 until 12 Noon at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by Services there at 12 Noon. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the North Shore Association for Retarded Children, 64 Holten St., Danvers, MA 01923 in her memory.
