Obituary of Meredith Ann (Kent) Davis

Meredith Ann (Kent) Davis, 64, of Peabody, died Wednesday at the Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA after a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of 33 years to James B. Davis. She was born in Danvers, MA on November 16, 1946, the daughter of the late Meredith and Margaret Kent and was a graduate of Danvers High School in 1965. She had resided in Peabody for the past 30 years. Meredith had been employed at the Stop and Shop Company at the supermarket at the Peabody/Salem line on Howley St. for the past 10 years. She enjoyed cooking her favorite recipes for her family. She loved to take trips to Foxwoods and playing Bingo at the different places on the North Shore. Surviving her besides her husband are four sons, Jack and his wife Michelle Conroy ofPeabody, Michael Sean Conroy of Nashville, TN and James B. Davis Jr. and his wife Susan and Jeremy S. Davis all of Peabody, a daughter and son-in-law, Tracey and James Gilbert of Peabody, nine grandchildren, a great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Donald Kent. A Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody Facility. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
