Obituary of Jeanne E. (McClure) Balog
Jeanne E. (McClure) Balog, 91, of Peabody, died Saturday morning at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Michael Balog.
Born in Curwensville, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Elah and Mary (Murphy) McClure. She was raised and educated in Pennsylvania and has lived in Peabody for the past 35 years.
Jeanne was a longtime parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody and enjoyed painting as well.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis Balog of Roseville, CA and Michael Balog of Danvers, a daughter, Dr. Sheila Balog of McDonough, GA and is also survived by three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Richard, Paul, Winfield, and John McClure.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9:30 until 10:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
