Obituary of Richard Tepfer

Richard Tepfer, 42 years, of Peabody , son of the late Robert and Sylvia (Savsovitz) Tepfer died Thursday evening at his home following a lengthy illness. Mr. Tepfer was born on Feb. 5, 1960 in Brookline, MA. He was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School class of 1978. In 1982 he received his degree in communications from Worcester State College. He was employed for several years in retail management in the greater Boston area until he become disabled in 1990. He had an interest in photography and movies and was a passionate sports enthusiast. He is survived by two sisters, Bonnie L. Tepfer of Peabody with whom he lived and Ronda L. Tepfer also of Peabody; three brothers, Lee G. Tepfer of Peabody, Hal S. Tepfer and Steven Tepfer both of Boston; an aunt, Pearl Savsovitz of Saugus; a nephew, Ben Tepfer of Newburyport and several cousins. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
