Obituary of Brenda (Hosetosavit) Kaszanek

Brenda (Hoseposabit) Kaszanek, 68, of Lynn, died Saturday at the NSMC Union Hospital in Lynn after a short illness. She was the devoted wife of 46 years to Johnny Kaszanek Jr. She was born in Mescalero, New Mexico on the Indian Reservation on April 20, 1943, the daughter of the late Alfred and Cecilia (Gains) Hosetosavit and was raised there before moving to Lynn 44 years ago. She had been an Inspector with the General Electric Co., in Lynn for 29 years prior to her retirement 4 years ago. Brenda was an avid golfer and along with her husband Johnny were members of the Olde Newbury Golf Club in Newbury for 23 years and had won many husband and wife championships as well as lady champion many times. She was also a bowler at the Ten Pin Lanes in Malden and enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. She is survived by her husband Johnny, two sons, Johnny Kaszanek of Foxboro, MA and Murray P. Kaszanek of Lynn, a niece, Heather Albee and her daughter Deja Albee both of Salem and many brothers and sisters , nieces and nephews in New Mexico. A Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill- Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. A Family Service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at the Family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
