Obituary of Dorothy M. "Giles" Pellegrini

Dorothy M. (Giles) Pellegrini, 85, of Peabody, died on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the Seacoast Nursing Home in Gloucester. Mrs. Pellegrini was born in Peabody on May 26, 1926 daughter of Herman and Mildred (Wheeler) Giles. She was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School Class of 1943. She then pursued her education at the Salem Commercial School for 2 years. Dorothy began her working career at Fanny Farmer and was later employed for many years in the payroll department at GTE Sylvania. She was a loving mother who devoted her life to her children, and later was so proud of her grandchildren and their accomplishments. As a hobby, Dorothy enjoyed playing the piano. Dorothy is survived by her children, Janet L. Pellegrini and her partner Eileen Duff, Gary R. Pellegrini and his companion Pearl Fredrick all of Beverly, and Ronald M. Pellegrini and Donna A. Richard of Peabody; her husband Robert N. Pellegrini of Peabody; her grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, Brianna Pellegrini, Gary Pellegrini and Jane Cataldo, Stephen Pellegrini and Danielle Weigant, and Elizabeth Pellegrini; 2 great grandchildren, Kala Pellegrini and Gary Pellegrini III , several nieces, nephews and friends. Her brothers William and Herbert Giles predeceased her. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, at 11:30 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Chaplain Eileen Duff will be officiating.
