Obituary of Marjorie I. (Aldrich) Pearson
Marjorie I. (Aldrich) Pearson, 78, of Brooksby Village, Peabody and formerly of Burlington, MA, died peacefully Friday evening at the Renaissance Gardens at Brooksby Village.
She was the devoted wife of 53 years to Malcolm H. Pearson.
She was born in Westford, MA on April 2, 1933, the daughter of the late Floyd B. and Anna (Erickson) Aldrich and was raised there graduating from Westford Academy in 1951.
She had been a bookkeeper with the Union National Bank of Lowell for many years. Later she became the principal clerk at the Assesor’s Office for the Town of Burlington for 11 years prior to her retirement. Marjorie and her husband had resided in Burlington for 43 years before moving to Peabody eight years ago. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo and loved to summer with her family in Tuftonboro, New Hampshire for the past 40 years.
Surviving her besides her husband are a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Carrington Pearson of Laconia, NH, a daughter and her partner, Judith Pearson and Terry Lavin of Arlington, a sister Arlene A. Whitney and her late husband Paul of Naples, FL, her cherished grandchildren, Benjamin, C. Brooke, Jacob, Hannah and Katherine Pearson, a sister-in-law, Linnea Earls of Ayer, MA. She was the sister-in-law of the late Melvin T. Pearson.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Brooksby Village Chapel, off of Rt. 114, in Peabody with Rev. Emily Chandler officiating at the Service.
