Obituary of Sophia Asloglou

Sophia Asloglou, 77 years, formerly of Newcastle Rd., Peabody died Saturday at the Sunbridge of Beverly Nursing Home. Miss Asloglou was born March 2, 1924 in Peabody daughter of the late Paul and Anastasia (Bairamidis) Asloglou and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Peabody High School class of 1942. She was employed in the clerical departments of G.T.E Sylvania, Boston St., Salem and the G. E. Riverworks in Lynn until her retirement due to illness in 1962. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Katherine Asloglou of Peabody; her nephews and nieces, Paul Asloglou, Emanuel and Barbara Asloglou all of Peabody and Leah and Michael Ellsworth of Nashville, TN; two grandnieces and a grandnephew. She was also the sister of the late Harry P. Asloglou and Catherine Koban. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Cahill-Brodeur facility at 20 Church St., Peabody (978-531-0472) of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home.
