Gary White
PEABODY—Gary White, 53, husband of Susan (Dunn) White, passed away suddenly on Monday evening October 31, 2011, at the Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of Murray and Gloria (Peterson) White. He grew up in Peabody, and graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1976.
Mr. White was employed in the Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local 17 of Boston for nearly 30 years.
Gary was involved as a player and organizer of the North Shore Baseball League for 13 years. He was actively involved in coaching with youth sports and his children’s baseball and softball teams. He enjoyed golfing, was a general Boston sports enthusiasts especially with the Red Sox and Patriots. He also liked gardening, and taking family vacations of which trips to Disney World and Virginia were more memorable. He will be remembered for his fun loving lifestyle and great sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Susan (Dunn) White of Peabody; a son, Matt White of Peabody; a daughter and son-in-law, Stefanie & Greg Rogers of Peabody; his parents, Murray & Gloria (Peterson) White of Peabody; two brothers, Dave & his wife Carol White of Peabody and Mike & Gail White of NJ, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Friday November 4, 2011 at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 – 7 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to either the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02110.
