Obituary of Marilyn G Davis
Marilyn G. Davis, 74, of Peabody and formerly of Somerville, died Monday evening at her home following a brief illness. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Nickerson) Davis.
She was raised and educated in Somverville and graduated from Somerville High School in 1955. She later lived in Maine and then lived in Florida for 20 years before moving back to Peabody.
She worked for over 24 years for Delta Airlines as a reservations manager for 24 years before retiring in 2001.
She is survived by her brother Arthur Davis of North Carolina and by her nieces Sandy and Robert Pratt of Halifax, and Trudy and John Sheehan of Marston Mills, and also by several grand nieces, nephews, and her sister-in-law, Carol Twombly. She was predeceased by her brother James Davis and by her sisters Arlene Donnelly and Mildred Hoyt.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9:00 until 10:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Burial will be in Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B -102, Danvers, MA 01923.
