Obituary of Carol D. (Carney) Erwin

Carol D. (Carney) Erwin PEABODY—Carol D. (Carney) Erwin, 66, beloved wife of the late Robert Erwin, died Saturday November 12, 2011 at the North Shore Medical Center—Salem Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of Lillian (Botsford) Carney of Stratford, CT and the late Ralph Carney. She grew up in Stratford, CT and graduated from Stratford High School. She lived in Peabody for several years. Carol enjoyed living quietly at home with her family. She was always interested in helping others, and volunteered at the Torigian Community Life Center and Peabody Council on Aging. She is survived by a daughter, Lisa & her husband Scott MacDonald of Peabody; two granddaughters, Allison and Kara MacDonald of Peabody; her mother, Lillian Carney of CT; two sisters, Sandra Peterson and Judith Desrosiers both of Stratford, CT; two brothers, Ralph Carney of VT and Ronald Carney of CA, and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Wednesday November 16, 2011 from 10:30 – 11:30 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02110.
