Obituary of Dorothy M. (Keane) Kolodziej

Dorothy M. (Keane) Kolodziej of Peabody, wife of the late Louis S. Kolodziej Sr. died February 1, 2003 in the Pilgrim Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Peabody after an extended illness. Mrs. Kolodziej was born January 20, 1920 in Peabody, daughter of the late John T. and Irene (Meagher) Keane and was a lifelong resident of the City. She graduated from St. John's Girls High School in 1938. During the war she had been a office clerk with Valcan Electric of Danvers. During her retirement years she enjoyed going to yard sales and attended flea markets every weekend. Mrs. Kolodziej is survived by a brother William Keane of Peabody; a sister Noreen Dubiansky of NH; a grandson Dennis M. Kolodziej of Peabody; her nieces and nephews, Patricia Denny of Peabody, Jo Sullivan of Lynn, Barbara St. Pierre of Topsfield, Kathleen Head of NH, John Sullivan of ME and John Keane of CT also survived by many great nieces and great nephews. She was the step-mother of the late Louis S. Kolodziej Jr. and the sister of the late John Keane, William Keane, Peggy Keane and Ruth Sullivan. A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no visiting hours. Burial will be private. Arrangements under the direction of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody.
