Katherine T. (Nadeau) Lapointe
Katherine T. (Nadeau) Lapointe, 91, beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Lapointe, died Thursday evening at the Harborside Twin Oaks Nursing Home in Danvers following a lengthy illness. Born in Topsfield, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Rose (Ross) Nadeau. She lived in Danvers in her youth, attending Danvers schools.
Mrs. Lapointe worked for CBS Hytron and other shoe manufacturers, mostly with Duchess Shoe in Salem where she was a Supervisor.
She was active, loved being with her family and friends, and enjoyed crochet and knitting. She made many afghans for family and friends, and was a past member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church on the Peabody-Salem line.
She is survived by: two sons and a daughter-in-law, James & Maureen Lapointe of Danvers, and Edward Lapointe of Natick; three grandchildren, Jay Lapointe of CT, Brian Lapointe of Yarmouth, and Dana Lapointe of West Brookefield; eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Joseph Lapointe, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, including Rose Rawson, Joseph Nadeau, Mary Walsh, Jean Pelletier, Albert Nadeau, Yvonne Tremblay, Ann Lapointe, Edmund Nadeau, and Henry Nadeau
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her funeral which will be held on Monday at 8 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church ST. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 AM in St. Mary’ s of the Annunciation Church, Danvers.
A visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 8 P.M.
Burial will be in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem.
Memorial donations may be made to the Carl Graczyk Fund, c/o St. John’ s Prep, 55 Spring St., Danvers, MA 01923.
