Obituary of Robert Mikulka
Robert Mikulka, 71, of Peabody and formerly of Danvers, died unexpectedly on Monday at his home. He was the husband of the late Anna (Cody) Mikulka.
Born in Chelsea, he was the son of the late Stanley and Anne (Patacke) Mikulka. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School, class of 1958. After high school, Robert attended college in Pueblo Colorado where he played football for one year.
Robert was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged from the United States Army in May of 1968. After his military service, Robert went to work for the former United Shoe in Beverly and worked as a molder until his retirement.
Robert enjoyed the outdoor life, hunting and fishing and was a member of the Danvers Fish and Game Club as was the Danvers Polish Club. Robert also enjoyed spending time at his cabin on the lake in Maine.
Robert is survived by a sister, Geraldine “Gerry” Larrabee of Westbrook, ME and a step daughter, Roberta and her husband John Lessard of Lebanon, Me and by three grandchildren, Ryan, Adrienne, and Craig Lessard, all of Maine.
His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
