Obituary of Karen Jayen Tow-Corriveau
Karen Jayen Tow-Corriveau, 63, of Peabody, died Friday evening at the Spaulding Hospital in Salem following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Peter Corriveau.
She was born in Providence, Rhode Island on May 10, 1948, she later moved to Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School in 1967. She continued her education at Endicott College and received her associate’s degree in 1969 and finally, she received her bachelor’s degree in History from Boston University in 1971.
She taught at the Michelangelo School in Boston from 1971 to 1973, and then was a manager at the Diamond Head Restaurant in Saugus from 1973 until 1990. Finally, before retiring due to her illness, she was an Actuary in the Insurance industry from 1990 until 2010.
Karen was an avid traveler, reader, tennis player, skier and animal lover and will be dearly missed by all. Besides her husband, Peter, she is survived by her daughter Jaclyn, and by her five siblings and mother.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. At the request of the family, no funeral services are planned.
