Americo Mac Coito
PEABODY Americo Mac Coito, 70, beloved husband of Lorraine (Nims) Coito, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday evening.
Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Edmund and Mary Coito Szczepucha. He lived in Peabody all his life, and graduated from Peabody High School.
Mr. Coito was a Manager with the former United Auto Parts in Peabody which became Automotive World then Cap’ s Auto Parts. He was working recently at the Lynn store.
He was a member of the Portuguese Continental Union of Peabody, was active at the former St. Joseph’ s Church in Peabody, and enjoyed working in the automotive field.
He is survived by: his wife, Lorraine (Nims) Coito of Peabody, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage; a brother and sister-in-law, Victor & Joan Unhao of Peabody; a brother-in-law, Raymond Nims of Peabody; a sister-in-law, Patricia Pat Nims of Peabody; his nieces & nephews, Donna Foden of Topsfield, Steven Unhao of Topsfield, David Nims of Danvers, and Matthew Nims of Methuen; grandnieces & grandnephews, Lindsay Foden, Allison Foden both of Topsfield, Rebecca Nims of Danvers, and Caitlyn Nims of Methuen, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a son, Paul Coito.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut ST. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem.
