Obituary of Kenneth J Castle
Kenneth J. Castle, 62, of Stratham, NH and formerly of Saugus and Stoneham, died Monday afternoon at his home following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Laurie Doe.
Born in Revere, he was the son of the late Blaine and Rita (Villani) Castle. He was raise and educated in Saugus and graduated from Saugus High School in 1967. He later lived in Stoneham and has lived in Stratham for the past 8 years.
Ken worked for Cumberland Farms as an area sales manager for 15 years before retiring in 2010. While he lived in Stoneham, he coached his sons little teams for 10 years. Ken also enjoyed playing cards, taking trips to Las Vegas and enjoyed the warm weather. He also loved driving his Corvette and his beloved Red Sox.
Besides his loving wife Laurie, he is survived by his children, Adam Castle of Stratham, NH, Audra Romani of Stoneham, his step children, Kelly Laspesa and Alison Miller, both of Manchester-by-the-Sea, his brother of Blaine Castle of Saugus, Fredda Castle of Stoneham, his grandchildren, Amanda, Krista, and Maia Castle, and Anthony Romani, and step grandchildren, Morgan Laspesa and Rylie Miller.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday at10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Church in Revere to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Memory of Ken Castle to the MGH Urological Cancer Research Fund, 165 Cambridge St., Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114.
