Obituary of Gregory D. Mahoney

Gregory D. Mahoney, 44, of Peabody, died peacefully Tuesday evening at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was born in Salem MA on May 27, 1967 the son of Rose H. (Bertoldi) Mahoney and the late Daniel G. Mahoney and had resided in Peabody all his life. He was a graduate of the North Shore Regional Vocational School in 1986. Gregory had been a Metal Fabricator and was last employed at the Marblehead Engineering Company prior to his illness. He is survived by his mother Rose of Peabody, his fiancé, Barbara Osterstuck of Beverly, his sisters Janet M. Fonzo of Peabody, Linda M. Fletcher and her husband Walt of Fremont, NH, a sister-in-law, Pat Chumack of Salem, his nieces and nephews, Jason and Nathan Mahoney both serving with the US Navy, and Erin Baptista and her husband Sean and their children, Anthony, Jacob and Nicholas Baptista , all of Berwick, Maine. He was the brother of the late William A. Mahoney . A Visitation will be held on Friday morning from 9:30 until 10:30 AM at the Conway,Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Peabody/Salem line at 11:00 AM.
