Obituary of Neila Kathryn Moore

Neila Kathryn (Vigars) Moore, 68, of Cape Coral, Fl and formerly of Peabody, MA died Friday, November 25, 2011 surrounded by her family at the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Ft. Myers, Fl after a short illness. She was the wife of John M. Moore Jr. with whom she shared 42 years of marriage. She was born in Beverly, Mass on December 2, 1942, the daughter of the late Cornelius and Eva (Bouchard) Vigars and was a long time resident of Danvers and Peabody before moving to Cape Coral in 1998. Neila had attended St. John’s Grammar and High School in Peabody and was a member of one of the last graduating high school classes there. She had been employed as an assistant systems technician at the GCA corp in Andover, MA from 1980 until her retirement in 1998. Neila loved to spend time working on her house, playing golf and watching the Red Sox. She is survived by her husband John, and her children, Christine (Hosker)and her husband Kenneth O’Brien, of Peabody, Daniel Hosker of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., and John M. Moore III and his wife Stephanie Moore of Danvers, her beloved grandchildren, Joseph O’Brien, Eva Kathryn (Katie) O’Brien and Jamison, Madison, and Emerson Moore, her in-laws, Ruth Moore, Robert Moore, Stephanie Moore, Barbara Moore and her nephews, Jackie and Larry Compiano and a niece Debbie Compiano. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John’s Church, Peabody at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
