Obituary of William Swiderski
William Swiderski, 101, of Peabody, MA died on Saturday, December 3, 2001 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Salem MA. He was born in Whitehall, PA on May 13, 1910, the son of the late Frank and Bronislawa (Lipka) Swiderski and was raised in New Jersey before moving to Peabody in 1933.
He had been a leather worker with A.C. Lawrence Leather Co., Peabody and the Hathorne Leather Co. Salem for several years prior to his retirement.
William loved to dance and sing and had been a member of St. Ann’s Church, Peabody .
He was the husband of Cecylia (Wnek) Swiderski and the late Stella Swiderski who died in 1988.
Besides his wife Cecylia, he is survived by a brother Charles Swiderski of New Jersey, a sister-in-law, Maria Bilza of Peabody, his two grandchildren, Robert Swiderski of Peabody and Joanne Mjos of Milwaukee, MN, two great grandchildren, a great, great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Robert Swiderski and 14 brothers and sisters.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 8:30 until 9:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Lynn St., So Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
