Obituary of Paul Alan Kehoe

Paul Alan Kehoe, 63, of Beverly, and formerly of Peabody, a retired Peabody Police Officer, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Beverly Hospital where he was pronounced after taken am ill turn at his home. He was the husband of Elinore (Buchanan) Kehoe with whom he shared 36 years of marriage. Paul was born in Peabody on August 23, 1948, the son of the late John A. and Annie (Kozak) Kehoe and was raised and resided here before moving to Beverly 24 years ago. He was a graduate of Peabody High School in 1967 where he was a member of the Football team and the golf team and attended the University of Missouri and later graduated from Northeastern University. Paul had been a member of the Peabody Police Department for 19 years prior to a medical retirement in 1992. He had served as president of the Peabody Police Benevolent Society and after his retirement worked part time for the Bartlett Consolidated Company of Plymouth for the past 15 years. He served his country with the US Army during the Vietnam where he was stationed in Korea and had been a member of the VFW Post 1011 of Peabody. Surviving him besides his wife are a son, Patrick A. Kehoe and a daughter, Ashley E. Kehoe both of Beverly, a brother and sister-in-law, John “Jack” and Laura Kehoe of Peabody and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2011 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by a Service There a t 7:00 PM.
