Obituary of Raymond W. "Rick" Story, Jr.

Raymond W. “Rick” Story, 57, of Lynn, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, December 8, 2011. Ray was born in Lynn on August 14, 1954 the son of the late Raymond W. Story Sr. and Eleanor L. (Ryder) Story. He was raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English high School Class of 1973 and was a lifelong resident of the city. In 1979, Ray enlisted into the USMC and served as a Corporal until receiving his honorable discharge in 1985. Ray began his working career at Max Sontz in Lynn as an HVAC installer an in 1995, he became self employed in the same field. Ray enjoyed being with his family and later was so proud of his nieces, nephews and their children. As hobbies he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, photography, the 3 Stooges and the Twilight Zone marathons. Ray is survived by a longtime companion, Cathy Burns of Somersworth, NH; his sisters and their spouses, Gail R. and Gerald D. Tardif of Lynn, and Suzanne L. and Ralph J. Fratus of Peabody; his nieces and nephews, Pamela Dandreo of Swampscott, Natalie and David Stanley, Kellie Amato all of Lynn, Dean Amato of West Norriton, PA, Dana Amato of Phoenix, AZ, Chantal and Glen Janvrin of Beverly; his grand nieces and grandnephews, Danielle, Nicholas, Christopher, Taylor, Steven, Matthew, Glen, Ben, Morgan and Alana; 2 aunts and uncles, Pat and Frank Nelson and Marilyn and Arthur Fulton all of East Wakefield, NH; and his many friends. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Monday, December 12, 2011 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
